Amidst a lot of challenging news lately, I have seen a big glimmer of hope: the passion and drive of the incoming Class of 2025—many of whom were motivated to take action and apply to EmergeWA after last year’s election. The 20 women of our incoming class are community organizers, educators, attorneys, policy experts, and entrepreneurs—some have already filed to run for office and others are considering a run very soon.
The members of the Class of 2025 are joining from across Washington, from both rural communities and urban/suburban areas, to help change the face of politics by breaking down barriers, opening doors, and creating pathways. We are committed to supporting them in meeting their goals as transformational leaders by providing training, mentoring, and guidance to be successful political candidates.
This year, we recruited an incredible class reflecting the many unique communities of Washington. To help them succeed, we need your support to eliminate financial barriers for our new cohort and all the leaders we train. At the heart of our mission, Emerge Washington strives to remove barriers for Democratic women and non-binary leaders running for public office and help them reach their political aspirations.
We are so proud of our incoming class and can’t wait to see how they will transform Washington. And we thank you for your investment in Emerge Washington, which helps us advance our vision of achieving a representative democracy by recruiting, training, and electing Democratic women in every level of government.
